Black Ruled the Red Carpet at Creative Arts Emmy Awards

“Creative Arts Emmy Awards” was a forerunner to the Emmy awards to be held next Sunday and was held this Saturday. It had its share of glitterati gracing the red carpet. While fantasy series “Game of Thrones” was the big winner on Saturday it was black colored gowns that were most favored by the fashion divas and stars for this special evening.

 

Some of he stars who chose to black included Emily Deschanel, Malin Akerman, Lisa Kudrow and TV personality Padma Lakshmi. Even men look dapper in a black suit like Actor Michael J. Fox who along with his wife Tracy Pollan chose black outfits for the event. Even Actor Neil Patrick Harris chose a black suit. As for jewelry minimal was the key so most stars wore some rings or statement earrings. 

But all these black outfits were unique in their own right though both Emily Deschanel and Malin Akerman wore ebony frocks; but Malin’s dress stood out for its plunging neckline, the Emily’s dress was more demure with a sheer panel vintage piece. Another common factor seen here was that everyone opted for long flowing gowns with the hem hitting the floor. So, former Friends star, Lisa Kudrow, also opted for a black full length gown that she accessorized with a sapphire pendant.

As for TV personality Padma Lakshmi she again had a black colored sheer material that covered flesh colored layer and she looked really stunning in this interesting strapless number.

But there were other colors also like the traditional blue and red as well as a latest in trend colors like pink, gray etc

So Candice Cameron Bure opted for a blue, a gown design that is in fashion these days the fishtail style. Actress Lake Bell chose a purple frock for the evening, while Jennifer Morrison and Morena Baccarin wore red.
