This film has been adapted from the smash hit stage show. The show till date has been enacted in 42 countries around the world and has been seen by more than 60 million people in 21 languages. So, a critically acclaimed storyline has Hathaway playing, Fantine, who is an unfortunate French factory worker. She is forced to cut and sell her hair. Her troubles don’t end there she is also forced to become a prostitute in order to survive.

Interestingly in this movie not only Hathaway even other cast members have also sung their songs but according to the Movie’s Director Tom Hooper, Hathaway’s rendition of I Dreamed a Dream was simply awesome.

As for the story, Les Misérables, is all about a how a ruthless policeman Javert (Russell Crowe)is hunting for decades an ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, (Jackman) after he breaks parole.

Talking about the singing by the star cast, Jackman felt that singing live was actually easier as compared pretending that you are singing. In this movie directed by Oscar winning director all the dialogues in the film is sung live by the actors generally actors lip-sync to a pre-recorded track.

Black Ruled While Colored Gowns Added The Sparkle At The BAFTA TV Awards

It was bright and sunny as stars decided to flaunt some bright gowns and jewelry at this year's BAFTA TV Awards. While Cannes was about French fashion, this event at London's Festival Hall clearly showed that there is more to Britain then what meets the eye. So, British are not people with the stiff upper lip they can also be happy and lively which is displayed by the colored gemstone jewelry and flowing gowns at the red carpet.

So we have men looking dapper in suits while women seemed to outdo each other in some of the best gowns. Let’s start with black a color that invariably features on the red carpet and can be accessorized with any colored gemstone be it sapphire, ruby or emerald.

The start that pulled it off the best is Kelly Brook who wore a beautiful tutu dress. This look was very different from the silver gown that she wore at red carpet appearances at Cannes. It was also pretty demure if we compare it with the black skimpy dress she chose for her very public photo shoot on the French Riviera. As for accessories with her pretty tutu dress she wore silver earrings along with blue clutch. She could have it paired with a pair of Sapphire or Tanzanite earrings as they really add a very sophisticated glamour to a black dress.

Other stars who chose to wear black at the red carpet were Emily Atack, Katherine Kelly and Natalie Gumede. We have to add that 28-year-old who plays Kirsty Soames in the popular soap Coronation Street's showed off her slim figure in a lace dress and she paired it with chandelier earrings along with a thigh high split and scarlet lipstick.

Even actress Melissa George who came from LA for the event looked stunning in a strapless Oriental-inspired frock again in black.

Oh!!! it seems like the event had no colors that’s not true, there were some stars who chose some daring colors for the red carpet, like TV presenters Alex Jones and Zoe Hardman. Both of them chose dramatic yellow gowns Hardman chose to accessorize her dress with a beautiful statement ring & cocktail earrings. As for details the ring is set in 18ct gold with Yellow Sapphires.

Up next on the list is a mix of black and white that is Zebra print Davina McCall paired it with bright pink shoes she could have tried pink sapphires as well. While another star to wear this combination was Sherlock star Lara Pulver who looked ravishing in her black and white lace dress.

So in all it was a $6 million affair from De Grisogono.

She is 74 and she is stunning! I know it’s a rare combination but Jane Fonda is the live example of it. One of her glittery and glamorous Cannes’ looks was in magnetic ruby color. With a floor sweeping figure hugging gown she clad for Cannes, the 60 carats rubellite and white and black diamond drop earrings and a 50 carats pear rubellite tourmaline diamond and ruby encrusted ring were the craziest and dazzling combination.

And I can’t miss to mention the gorgeous Hofit Golan. This Israeli model-T.V reporter-businesswoman has set the red carpet on fire with her all smiling fresh looks. Her De Gisogono jewels especially the broad butterfly cuff encrusted with emeralds, diamonds and amethysts were the stars of glory at Cannes.

The Annual International Film Festival at Cannes has ended till next spring but the memories and the jewels it had left are worth remembering for many years.

American Idol Season 11 Finale Rocked with Brilliance

Love, passion, happiness, romance, joy, sadness, surprise and much more, the grand finale of ‘American Idol’ Season 11 showed almost all the emotions at one stage. Wednesday was the time when the world was waiting to hear the name of the new ‘Idol’. But there wasn’t only one winner of the evening. Surprised? There was one who won the millions of hearts through his electrifying performance in season 11 and then there was one who won the heart and hearts by his romantic expressions.

Ok… no more puzzles. The winner of American Idol season 11 was Phillip Phillips who got a record-high 132 million votes after his final performance on Tuesday. This 21-year pawn shop worker from Georgia defeated his fellow contestant Jessica Sanchez, a high school girl in the competition.

After the victory was declared, Phillip took the audience to “Home” which would be his first post-winning single. He got very emotional and thanked the fans and crew for their support and votes.

Before the ‘Idol’ champion was crowned, host Ryan Seacrest took a moment and called American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGramo on stage to know about their moving together plans. And this was the time when love, romance and again a new surprise aired in the Nokia Theatre. Ace thanked American Idol to be his home and proposed Diana on the stage with a spectacular gemstone engagement ring.

So in all Wednesday was a memorable day in the history of American Idol. Season 11 has ended with some remarkable brilliance. Ace and Diana titled the first engaged couple and Phillip was the fifth male in a row to win the ‘American Idol’ title.

This Sunday people in some areas of the Northwest will be able to see a partial solar eclipse. It is a beautiful sight to behold when nature creates its own sparkling ring. According to a scientific website In Southern Oregon, the sun is expected to be completely covered, producing “annularity,” as moon is smaller than the sun so moon cannot cut out the entire light from the sun as a result the Sun looks like a ring of fire.

If you are interested in seeing this wonderful phenomenon you have to be really careful. The American Optometric Association (AOA) has told everyone that they should not look directly at the eclipse. Looking at the sun with naked eyes or through photographic or X-ray film, or with sunglasses can be seriously damaging instead one can view this natural spectacle with the help of some devices especially made for this purpose. Some such things are pinhole projector, welder’s glass, or glasses made especially for solar observation.

It is said that the Sun will be 76 percent covered in Seattle. But if the sky is overcast as is a prediction for the day then the clouds can block the view of watching the solar eclipse. Meteorologist Dana Felton of the National Weather Service has forecasted that we are going to have the clouds making the 76-percent eclipse barely noticeable. Mark Folkerts, president of the Everett Astronomical Society echoed the sentiments but he said that just in case the clouds part, there is a chance that one can see the sun but he warned that looking directly at the eclipse would cause eye damage within seconds. He said a better option is to look at the crescent shadows on the ground, for instance where filtered sunlight passes between tree branches, he suggests.

If you are will to travel to get a view of this celestial event then one can go to Spokane, as here weather conditions are predicted to be better. In Spokane the Sun will be 72 percent covered at 6:19 p.m. Reports are that viewing sites are being set up in the Spokane area to provide eye-protection filters and telescopes to the public.

65th Cannes film Festival which was started on May 16^th, 2012 is one of the oldest events that completely focus on the art work of cinema. Films from all over the world in different categories are premiered every year. But it is not just the films that make Cannes so special and popular. Jane Fonda’s optical illusion dress reminds one of Tanzanite

Cannes Film Festival is on and we have celebrities gracing the red carpets and making headlines. It was 74-year-old Jane Fonda who showed that even at her age she knows how she can stand out among the actresses less than half her age. She chose to wear an optical illusion dress in black and white. This full-length attire highlighted her curves, if we look at the gemstones Tanzanite gem stone shows a remarkable optical illusion property known as trichroicism. But Fonda decided to pair up her updo with a pair of emerald earrings.

She was at the Rust and Bone premiere and as for the accessories she wore delicate black heels along with a clutch that matched her emerald earrings. We might have seen Bruce Willis as a tough guy on screen but he is also a darling and adoring father off screen. You’ll also give the similar opinion when you’ll see the incredible actor cuddling his new born daughter, Mabel Ray.

Thanks to wife Emma Heming who posted the sweet and innocent photo of the father and daughter on her tweeter page. She captioned the precious shot as “a beautiful day in Budapest with the loves of my life. Daddy and Mabel cracking each other up.”

Brad Pitt is to be the new face of Chanel No.5

Brad Pitt has a lot new stuff to swag for fiancée Angelina Jolie. The super cool ‘Moneyball’ is the new face of Chanel No.5 perfume, one of the most famous fragrances from the French fashion house.

Chanel on Wednesday declared the launch of a new ad campaign which will feature the power actor endorsing the world’s best known woman’s fragrance which earlier was represented by Nicole Kidman, Catherine Deneuve and Vanessa Paradise. The most famous ambassador of the brand was the Hollywood queen Marilyn Monroe, who once said that the fragrance was all she wore to bed.

Pitt, who’ll get an estimated paycheck of seven figures, is the first male ambassador to head Chanel No.5

According to E! News, the first commercial will start shooting in London sometime in next week.

French website Daily ELLE reported that a man’s version of the fragrance is in line and Brad’s involvement is a proof of it. Chanel so far has not responded anything about the report.

No.5 was created by the legendary fashion designer Coco Chanel in 1922, who wanted a unique scent for herself to pair with her designs.

As Pitt has recently proposed his longtime partner Angelina with an out-of-the-world customized emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, Chanel No.5 seems to be a perfect after engagement gift to fuel up the fantasy of a romantic relation.

Fashion springs at 2012 Costume Institute Gala

The Metropolitan Museum of art’s Costume Institute Gala was probably the most fashion-forward event of the year. The star-studded red carpet evening showed the mesmerizingly glittering and glamorous moves of Hollywood divas.

Some beauties flaunted their ultra-feminine style while other went with the season’s charm by opting for some bold and vivacious colors. Retro hair-dos, color blocking, art-deco jewelry and spring make-up along with the sensational ensembles were the highlights of the evening.

Paula Patton went all spring in banded strapless Vera Wang lavender gown. She enhanced her looks with a pair of pink and lavender chandeliers and a gleaming cocktail ring. Amber Heard and Allison Williams were other fuschia fairies. Amber took a turn to sea charm in a mermaid Zac Posen gown whereas Allison opted for a column Ralph Lauren gown.

Kristen Wiig’s lacy orange McCartney frock was a sweet pick for the evening. In contrast to her, Kristen Bell and Ginnifer Goodwin opted for very sensual and subtle looks. The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s gala brought every color of spring on the red carpet.  Dianna Agron’s emerald vaporous Carolina Herrera gown with a retro up-do reminded us about the 1920s charming fashion. Currently, sources inform that representatives for Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg are going to meet to discuss the logistics involved in scheduling a string of performances with the virtual Tupac. However, there are two options available for this tour one is to organize it in stadiums and involve other hip-hop stars like Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. Another option is a limited tour that would only feature Dre, Snoop Dogg and the virtual Tupac in smaller arenas.
